Bonfire Food you say?
So are you planning a little gathering on Bonfire night? So Bonfire Food you say?
Well here’s a few hints to feed the masses….Bonfire night is actually on Wednesday but maybe you are celebrating this weekend?
I love Bonfire Night, I love getting all snuggly and obviously I’ll wear a hat 🙂
Why don’t you take the opportunity to get ahead and make some simple and easy food?
First on the list of Bonfire Food
You need to make Stuffed Jacket Potatoes . You can make them the day before and then just bang them in the oven to feed the masses.
Serve them with baked beans and sausages.
Or add the chopped sausages to the filling for the potatoes – it’s good …..
Or
You could make Sausage Toad – delightful with warm mash and onion gravy.
I’ve also popped some other sausage recipes around this post. You have to have sausages Bonfire Night – yes? And if not why not?
Warming Soup on Bonfire Night?
And there’s always a nice warming soup.
It’s British Leek season so you could try my Smokey Leek & Potato Soup – serve it with nice warmed bread?
Or my Roasted Butternut Squash and Tomato soup? Also perfect for getting ahead
To drink in the cold
Should be something nice and warming – how about ‘Rum & Spice is Nice.’ Which is basically spiced alcoholic Hot Chocolate – so good!
Make a flask and take it with you.
Or if you’re at home you could make the as a tipple Fiendish Fizz ? Foe the adults obviously
For Pudding by the Bonfire
How about – Auntie Annie’s Shortbread Fruit Slice – make the day before (you could warm it up).
Or if you want a warm pud how about Pineapple upside down Pudding – everyones fave!? or Bundles Brownies?
Just have a look around and use the search button – so many easy recipes to make!
