Christmas Chocolate Martini – Choca Mocha

Christmas Chocolate Martini

This is the ultimate Christmas tipple must be this Christmas Chocolate Martini?

It  packs a massive mistletoe punch and just needs some carol singers and a log fire on the side.

And to be fair it doesn’t have to be just at Christmas time – promise 🙂

Oh Christmas is such a lovely time, I love it!! And this Christmas Martini really hits the spot!

Coffee, Vodka, lovely Baileys and Coffee liqueur. -All my favourite things – not forgetting of course the chocolate to decorate…..

Christmas Chocolate Martini

So what actually is a Martini?

Well according to Wiki!!
The martini is a cocktail made with gin and vermouth, and garnished with an olive or a lemon twist. Over the years, the martini has become one of the best-known mixed alcoholic beverages. H. L. Mencken called the martini “the only American invention as perfect as the sonnet”, and E. B. Wikipedia
Main alcohol: Gin
Ingredients: 1/2 oz (1 part) Dry vermouth, 3 oz (6 parts) Gin
Preparation: Straight: Pour all ingredients into mixing glass with ice cubes. Stir well. Strain in chilled martini cocktail glass. Squeeze oil from lemon peel onto the drink, or garnish with olive.
Served: Straight (or on the rocks)
Standard garnish: Olive, Lemon twist

  • 1 shot kahlua or coffee liqueur
  • Piece of chocolate ? to decorate
  • Ice

Preparation Method

  1. Put loads of ice and all the liquid in a shaker or jar and give it a really good shake- the longer you shake the more you get a frothy top.
  2. Pour into a martini glass and then grate a bit of chocolate over the top.
