Blogiversary Easypeasylemonsqueezy!

Blogiversary Easypeasylemonsqueezy!

6th July marks the end of my Year 2 Blogging (officially) on Easypeasylemonsqueezy!  You could say it’s my Blogiversary! Happy Blogiversary Easypeasylemonsqueezy 2 Years?!

Blogiversary Easypeasylemonsqueezy!

And then it dawns on me, flipping heck, two years blogging!!!! (there was an additional year before EPLS was official too)  I can’t quite believe it!

It’s gone so quickly, so many things have changed, but in a way I can’t actually remember NOT blogging (what did I do with my time ha!).

My life in EVERY way is so much richer than it was pre Easypeasylemonsqueezy, what a revelation! And it was a total accident….

Blogging, as I have said before, isn’t for everyone. It’s primarily about sharing and sharing ALL aspects, the good, the bad and the ugly.

In the last year of  blogging my content has changed quite dramatically (there’s been a bit of ugly) and although principally my main aim is to share easy recipes and cocktails, I seem to have branched out, almost accidentally into lifestyle.

Life Change

My life changed dramatically a year ago in every way and I needed, wanted to share my experience with you.

And by doing so the response was staggering. My Affairs of The Heart post went truly bananas! I so thank you for the response.

For the kind words, the encouragement and also for you guys, sharing your stories with me too. This life is tough, sometimes very much so and sometimes it’s also fantastic.

I’m a massive believer in sharing and I hope I helped a few of you by being so honest.

This year I have continued to share my journey every few months and again the response always wonderful!

My biggest thrill is still getting your photos, comments etc and seeing what recipes you’ve made.

Bizarrely I feel like I’m a bit involved in your lives too and I LOVE that. Thanks! So I’m celebrating my Blogiversary Easypeasylemonsqueezy style! With love and thanks

I’m not really a numbers girl, but wow, I’ve just shocked myself. I thought I’d have a look at the stats for visits to the Easy Peasy website and see, year on year, what’s happened and, on the basis I work full time and EPLS is not my job, I’m amazed and truly chuffed.

Wowzers

  • Year 1 Blogging
    18.5K Unique visitors
    56.2K Page views
  • Year 2 blogging
    30K Unique Visitors
    110K Page Views

Across my platforms I have almost 10K followers and my ‘reach’ is much bigger than this…..

I so want my blog to get bigger but for the right reasons. My blog numbers are not at all high right now, but I’m ok with that – I want to blog forever – can you imagine me sharing my antics at 70?! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Whilst it’s not the biggest blog in the world I’m pleased, like really pleased, with my results.

What I love is that my bounce rate is great (ah-mazing!). This means that when people land on my site they stay and look around. I would rather have 1,000 people engaged with my site than one million bouncing off!

I’m a strong believer in being authentic, in writing about stuff from the heart, about creating recipes that are real, no fancy ingredients here or complicated methods.

You also know I’m passionate about kids cooking and about simple family meals around the table.

My core ethos hasn’t changed, I’ve just branched out a little.

I am planning to up my recipe development and have some nice ideas on the way.

Please, please remember there are already over 200 recipes sitting there for you to try, read, make – so please do. If you can’t see what you want, just use the search box!

Foodies100

I’m also happy to tell you I’m now ranked on Foodies100.

This is a ranking system for over 5,000 Food Blogs, it looks at a complex set of data to rank each month.

I’m a tad proud I’m ranked 230 as a part-time blogger. I do not have the luxury of being able to blog in the day time, I’m at work! Although I would dearly love to.

I say NO to a lot of brands who want me to write about their products, I try to remain authentic.

You will not find ‘ANYTHING’ on Easypeasylemonsqueezy that I don’t like (unless I’m saying I don’t like it!). As I said, it’s just not a numbers game for me. T

here are some wonderful wonderful Food Bloggers out there, many of them I now call my friends. A very very encouraging bunch and it’s wonderful to be a part of that.

My fave Blogger has to be Vicki  honestmum.com I LOVE her work and I love  how honest see is. She is also a massive personal inspiration to me!

I am very fortunate that I get invited to do some lovely stuff through my blog and I get some great invitations, again I have to say no to many, which is a shame.

However, my highlights this year were the Sushi Samba Event, my bread course at Get Ahead Bakery and my Radio work, now I loved that!

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy Bags

And we have the Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy Bags and #EPLSallovertheworld.

I’m collecting many photos from around the world – Thank you!

The most popular recipes of this second year are scattered around this blog post, have you made any?

I would love to know what’s your fave. Let me know in the comments, email me, send me posts and messages via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram!

I’ve just set up my Easy Peasy YOUTube channel – OMG and I will start vlogging, (oh yes you WILL Clare).

I just need to take a deep breath for this! But it is definitely the way forward.

I have some nice things planned for this. I’m doing a little on Instagram stories etc to try to get in the mood.

2018 Plans

In 2018 I plan to work on my photography, I have the most amazing camera – that sits in its box! I’m just so bloody busy. It’s such a shame.

I also don’t have the daylight necessary as I’m mainly working during the day. I will make a concerted effort. After all I’m a Home Economist and I’ve also been a Food Stylist many years ago, so no excuses really!

Finally I am astounded by the outpouring of love and your involvement in my Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy adventure.

Blessings

I am blessed, I have met some amazing people through blogging, people I would definitely not have met without it.

Five of those people are now my true true friends and many many more are my online friends, THANK YOU.

I would so like to meet many more of you, maybe we should try?

I need to thank my two best friends, Jane & Jane (me’Janes) one’s the cocktail Queen and one’s my Website Wonder (best cuddles EVA).

This year especially, I’m not sure I’d have got through it without them for many reasons.

And to my family and friends scattered around the country (world) thanks – you’re the boll***s!

So onward to Year 3

Eeeeek I’m flipping excited.

Someone said to me yesterday – What will you do with your one precious life? Interesting isn’t it Cx

Please help me guys – I would love some new peeps, sharing my recipes, posts etc with your friends and family helps me so much!

Happy Blogiversary Easypeasylemonsqueezy!

Big Love Cx
