A delicious meaty onion & herb stuffing - almost a meal on it's own!
- 2 White Onions chopped, large pieces (
- 6 Lincolnshire Sausages skins removed
- 100 g Breadcrumbs coarse
- 1 tablespoon Dried or fresh parsley chopped
- 1 tablespoon Dried or fresh sage chopped
- Salt & Black Pepper
- 1 Egg beaten
- Optional chopped chestnuts, grated apple - not used in Malc’s)
Pre-heat oven Gas 6 / 200C / 400F
In a pan boil the onions in water until tender - 20 mins
In a bowl mix sausage meat , breadcrumbs, herbs, and egg
Drain the onions and leave to cool, when cool mix in with the sausage mix, together with some Salt and Black Pepper
Pop in a Dish / or roll into balls, finish with a sprinkling of herbs and bake in the pre-heated oven for about 30-35 minutes
