Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy Hummus

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy Hummus

Gosh I love hummus do you? Do you know how simple it is to make? You really need to have a go and it’s so much nicer than the shop bought stuff! Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy Hummus – it’s just that – EASY! The key to smooth hummus is to remove the chickpea skins, simply pop them out! This helps make a creamy, smooth hummus dip!

I simply can’y get enough of this dreamt garlic chickpea dip – I love it with raw veggies if I’m being good. I’ve even been known to spread it on sardines. Or more traditionally with Pittas – yum!

So go on have a go – I promise you’ll never go back to the shop bought stuff.

And you can add stud you know! I love it with pumpkin seeds and pomegranate seeds

Let me know what you think

  • 400g Can chick peas, drained
  • 1 – 1 1/2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • Juice 1 lemon
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil (+a drizzle for on top)
  • 3 tablespoons Water
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons Tahini
  • Pinch of cumin
  • Pinch of Paprika

Preparation Method

  1. Please please pop the chick peas out their skins, its so much smoother if you do, bit time consuming but worth it (reserve a few chick peas to decorate)
  2. In a food processor or with a hand blender, blend all ingredienst until you reach the consistency you like, longer for smoother hummus, season.
  3. Put it in a dish, sprinkle with a few chickpeas, a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkling of paprika
