Easy Christmas Stuffing (Malc’s – aka Dads)

Malc’s Easy Christmas Stuffing (aka Dads)

Perfect for Christmas Day!  Malc’s Easy Christmas Stuffing, it’s a delight I promise. THE BEST!!

It’s a pork sausage meat Christmas Stuffing recipe, so it packs a punch on it’s own.

Also totally perfect for Thanksgiving too and Easter obviously

Homemade Christmas Stuffing (Often Called ‘Dressing” in the US)

Just look at it… Crispy, golden and full of flavour

Sage & Onion Easy Christmas Stuffing, or Thanksgiving ‘Dressing’

My dads recipe has everything you need for a meaty stuffing – it’s not ‘pappy’ like those box stuffings you buy.

It’s centre is Ewell seasoned sausages or sausage meat – good quality is the key

Then it’s bolstered with lovely soft sweet onions and herbs galore including the traditional sage, dried or fresh it doesn’t really matter

It really is almost my favourite part of the whole lunch!

Other Stuffing shapes / Stuffing Balls?

You can have it either in a dish or rolled into balls, it really doesn’t matter.

It’s also perfect as the filling for sausage rolls! It’s so lovely

It really is so good and it was developed by a very very special man! We miss him everyday! My Dad xxx

Perfect easy Christmas stuffing recipe

A lovely blend of sausage meat, onions, herbs, breadcrumbs and eggs – flipping delicious!

I make a lot!!!

Pork, Sage & Onion Stuffing it’s not just for Christmas or Thanksgiving

What’s great about his Christmas Stuffing is that after you’ve enjoyed it with your Christmas lunch, you can then also eat it cold in turkey sandwiches the days in between Christmas and New Year!

And no need to just have it at Christmas either? Or Thanksgiving. You could just make this and use it in sandwiches, it’s so tasty, in fact you could make it JUST for the sandwich days as it’s so good.

I tend not to stuff the turkey cavity as I think it makes a bit of a mess, but you can obviously – just make sure it’s well cooked through.

I promised you’ll love it, drop me a comment and let me know

Optional Extras for your Christmas Stuffing

Here are a few other things you might like to add – We don’t as dads recipe was as per the recipe card

However maybe chuck in one of the following too?

  • Chopped chestnuts
  • Grated apple
  • Different herbs
  • Chopped celery

Or whatever you fancy?

Can I make my Christmas Stuffing in advance?

Yes you can, I make mine Christmas Eve morning and get it in it’s dishes (I make it for lots of people)

Then I simply bake in the oven on Christmas Day ready for the lunch

Sausage Roll filling?

  1. You can also use the mix for your Sausage Rolls – just like my darling Hannah Montana did
  2. Just make stuffing – roll into a long thin sausage and pop on top of puff pastry or short crust pastry sheet – fold over using water to seal.
  3. Pop in freezer for half an hour
  4. Remove and cut into desired sizes, egg wash and bake (make sure seal is on the bottom)
